i recently signed on for a pincushion swap organised by the beautiful kate at fox's lane

it was a fantastic effort on kate's part and many, many pincushions crossed borders and paths to land in the letterboxes of grateful recipients.

my pretty little pincushion arrived rather mysteriously last week.
i say mysteriously because my swap partner forgot to put her details in with the gift, so all i had to go on was her name and address.

that my friends was all the invitation i needed to go on a secret mission to discover her identity. i trawled through the many links on kates blog at fox's lane slowly enjoying the tour and admiring the pincushion love along the way.

at about the half way point i was starting to feel that i was getting nowhere so i started at the end of the list and worked my way towards the point i had left.
i finally came to kimmikki and felt that i had found my mystery partner but i still was just guessing based on a christian name and hometown location as evidence.

finally today when i checked my bulging inbox i found an email from kim declaring her identity.
this was her first ever swap and i hope my tardy efforts at declaring my gratitude and delight at her generosity in gifting me with this cheery little bit of goodness will not scare her of any future bloggy games.
