i posted earlier this week about the production line of frilly bloomers and i am hoping that that will reach a timely end today. for those that wanted the bloomer pattern i have checked the link from this post and the pdf now seems to be working.
apart from sewing my creative time has been spent developing some container plants for the garden. the hot summers are making it difficult to maintain a the garden. so the solution for now has been to concentrate on english style containers and baskets.
there has also been lots of summery cooking. i have found a very delicious new salad compliments of my clever son (mr.26) i neglected to photograph it but here is the recipe.
finely dice;
2 or 3 small cucumbers (seeded but skin on)
3 or 4 ripe tomatoes (seeded)
some pitted black kalamata olive
some capers
toss in a serving bowl, then immediately before serving layer the top with;
slices of golden fried halloumi cheese
and drizzle with a dressing made from;
a handful each of basil and continental parsley that has been finely chopped and mixed with a tablespoon of lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of olive oil and a clove of garlic crushed.
yummo! try it, go on! more creativity over at kootoyoo thanks to kirsty
