the easter bunny paid a visit to our house.
we had the traditional easter egg hunt.
last year we decided that the kids were getting too old for the hunt and so no eggs were hidden. mr 10 was dreadfully disappointed and shed big, fat tears to prove the point.
following the hunt they engage in a pooling of egg loot in order to divvy it up evenly.
this year we shared our easter sunday with the two newest family members.
the girls arrived yesterday and have settled in very nicely.
the kids named them. they are alice and teriyaki (which seems to me to be rather a cruel taunt)
a family dinner, another batch of hot X buns (this time with dried cranberries) chickens (clucking not cooked) and chocolate.
it was a big day.
oh, and the girls who were said to be three to four weeks off being ready to lay decided they could wait no longer and gifted us with our first egg.
i hope your easter was as much fun as ours.

We wouldn't dare try the "too old for a hunt"....even the dads in our family hang out for the family hunt..you have never seen such excitement.
You've gotta love laying chookies too. xx
